**Our application policy is *mandatory*…

Our puppies are placed in the Phoenix metro area.

No exceptions.

**

The process is interview, home check, foster-to-adopt-agreement,

with frequent communication and possibly follow up visits.

Adoption begins with a Foster-To-Adopt arrangement that continues until the

puppy is old enough to be spayed/neutered. Adoption can then be finalized.

**

We seek adopters who are experienced with AUSSIES/HERDING BREEDS,

have at least one playful, friendly medium-sized dog,

and are home most of the time.

No children under eight years of age, please.

**

Bogart is very intelligent and super snuggly. His fur is beyond soft <3 and he is mellow. Bogart plays actively but also observes and is always watching for a chance to be pet or cuddled.

BOGART is one of the #RavinePups -- read their story here:  Ravine Puppies  He came to us with his siblings,       Bernard ,  Flynn ,  Grace ,  Sterling , and  Tippi .

Our vet esitmates that the #RavinePups will be ready to go to their new families in mid-December 2017. Please complete our adoption application if you are a potential match. Your application should reflect your experience with training and socializing Australian Shepherds or other herding breed, and experience with training a young puppy through adulthood. We anticipate a great many applications for each of the #RavinePups and regret that we will not be able to respond personally to every inquiry.

Our fees and policies are on our home page at BetterDaysRescue.org. We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" the dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio or photos are updated. Dogs remain posted while we screen potential adopters; as long as a dog is designated "Available" we continue to accept applications.
  • "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area/dog park.)

  • "Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly dog that lives in the same household.

  • We DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life is taking them next.

We are staffed by all volunteers and use an application protocol to handle all inquiries about adoptable dogs. This system enables an efficiency that allows us to save and care for more dogs. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption applicationNO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!
